My Story

Sheritta Bitikofer is a multi-published author of… well, just about everything. If you’ve heard of mood reading, she’s a mood writer. Having written in genres ranging from Christian dystopian to historical to urban fantasy, and sweet to steamy romances, Sheritta let the characters and crazy late-night ideas fuel her creative engine to fashion stories for any audience.

Born with a love for playing pretend and creating stories for her family and friends, Sheritta knew from an early age that she wanted to be a writer. Equally as long-lasting as her love for make-believe, was her love for wolves. It wasn’t until she was introduced to the concept of werewolves that she knew just how to combine the two. The idea of a lurking wildness within a perfectly ordinary person fascinated her. Sheritta fell hard for the tortured soul vibe but also latched on to the model of the strong, female protagonist who didn’t need a man to save her.

Since then, many of her stories have incorporated the two tropes in one way or another, crafting heartfelt romances that inspire hope and courage, while still entertaining readers with a unique tale made up of layer upon layer of real human passion that any reader can relate to. She gets a kick out of presenting love in a genuine light, where the protagonists not only feel a physical attraction to one another, but a deep emotional connection that drives their relationship forward into something that will endure much longer than the last pages of their novel.
Living her own fairytale romance, Sheritta married her high school sweetheart, and they live in Northwest Florida with their dogs and beautiful daughter. When she’s not running after her feral child, she enjoys roaming Civil War battlefields, haunting her local coffee shop, and spending alone time with her husband.

When she's not writing her next novel, Sheritta enjoys diving into the fascinating and complex history of the American Civil War. With a BA in American History from American Public University, her primary focus of study is the many human-interest stories that embody the spirit of the mid-nineteenth century.
